MindRiot Biography
MindRiot came to be in ’93 when 3 guys of diverse musical tastes all came together to create a new, exciting sound and live performance. Diverse in such ways that members of MindRiot were involved in song writing with Michael Wheeler(Brother to Tim, Ash fame). MindRiot entered the studio many times over the next few years perfecting their sound, while also gigging regularly and increasing their fan-base. As is with many bands of that time, some of MindRiot’s members became involved in more unsavoury elements of the Rock lifestyle. In ’97 MindRiot dissolved but each member continued their own individual projects travelling the globe. After many years MindRiot came to realise that nothing they had done or could do would ever compare to their previous incarnation. With this re-newed and absolute determination to surpass previous achievements the members of MindRiot set out on breaking the mould on the current stagnant pretty boy “Hair-Bands” and have become the new, raw, original, powerful Hardcore/Rock Band you hear today. Irish Music Promotion
Irish Bands List.com was set up to promote Irish Music to the world. Unsigned Irish Music gains very little exposure both in Ireland and worldwide due to the lack of media channels here and little interest from abroad. This is why young Irish musicians find it a constant struggle to get anywhere in the music business. The internet, as a growing, developing network of information is the best way to get Irish artists and Irish Music out to the world.
Irish Bands List.com has been trying to expose Irish Music to the world since early 2004. We have found it hard to expose Irish Music as there is little interest in Irish Music on a world wide scale, but there is interest. We have to compete in the larger scale of world music and this has been difficult, yet our visitor traffic has been doubling every year. We hope that, through this site, Irish Music will soon get the exposure it deserves.
