Houlinboi' formed at the start of 2004 out of the ashes of numerous cork bands of a by gone age. After three months of incessant rehearsals this four piece powerhouse of pop were ready to experiment in the live setting, with their maiden voyage being a C.I.T. showcase gig in the Crusicn Lan on feb 12th. Comprised of Galvin on guitar, Brian Hassett on bass, Rob Costello on drums, and Mike Costello on vocals, the band have proved difficult to define sonically.

Blending the raw, punchy rhythms of The Jesus Lizard with Sonic Youth's More melodic moments, what emerges is something not unlike the sound of fire under the seats of the last remaining headbangers that this city has left.
